The First Additional Special Judge for CBI cases R. Sudhakar Naidu in his judgment on Thursday sentenced a CISF constable to undergo seven years imprisonment and two other private persons to undergo six months imprisonment for their involvement in a fraud.

The prime accused, Mynam Sreenivasa Rao, a constable in the CISF Unit at VSSC Thumba in Thirvananthapuram, in connivance with his brother-in-law A. Appala Naidu and his sister A. Umamaheswari, abused his official position and accepted illegal gratification from 30 unemployed candidates in and around Elamanchili in the district by promising them jobs as ASI/clerk in Central Industrial Security Force.

Sreenivasa Rao issued fake appointment letters and forged letters of intimation of training to those candidates.

After trial, the court sentenced the three accused to jail.
