HYDERABAD: Former Union minister A. Narendra has said the talk of unified Andhra Pradesh taken up after the Centre’s announcement of initiating the process for formation of Telangana was another conspiracy to deny justice to the region and exploit its resources.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday after a long spell of ill-health, the former MP said there was a huge difference between 1969 and 2009 in the movement seeking separation of Telangana as the involvement of people, particularly youth, was much higher this time from all sections. He criticised the government for imposing Section 30 and 144 on the campuses of Osmania and Kakatiya varsities and said it was done only to suppress the students’ movement.
