TDP district president and Peddapalli legislator Ch. Vijayaramana Rao on Saturday launched a scathing attack against the Congress for the latter’s ‘dual standards’ on the formation of Telangana State.

Speaking to the media here on Saturday, he alleged that Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy had read out the script given by the Congress high command at the press conference. Alleging that all the Congress leaders including the Chief Minister, MPs and other Ministers belonging to both the Telangana and Seemandhra regions are hand in glove with the Congress. “They are playing a big drama on the Telangana statehood issue and confusing the people,” He said.

He said that the Congress was playing a political game on the statehood issue only to tarnish the image of the TDP in both the regions. He flayed the Telangana Ministers for remaining silent when the Chief Minister was opposing the Congress Working Committee’s (CWC) decision on Telangana and not demanding the party high command for early passage of the Telangana Bill in the Parliament.
