A national conference on ‘Technological Developments in Power Engineering’ was organised by the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at Vignan University concluding on Saturday.
A total of four sessions were held on Power Electronics & Renewable Energy Sources and Power Systems and Control Systems.
S. Siva Nagaraju, Professor of JNTU College of Engineering, Kakinada was the chairperson of the session on power systems.
Prof. B.M. Mohan from IIT, Khargpur had presented a lecture on Signals & Systems via Orthogonal Functions. N. Yadaiah, Professor and Head of Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering of JNTUCE, Hyderabad participated as the chief guest in the inaugural session.
The themes were topical against the background of recent power grid failures and the electricity shortages.
Vignan University Vice-Chancellor V. Govardhan Rao, Director of R&D K.V. Radha Kishan, Director of Engineering & Technology V. Madhusudan Rao and others participated.
