Rajahmundry: A comprehensive health camp was organised for physically challenged people at Kantipudi Ramarao Corporation High School here on Friday. A large number of physically challenged people preliminary health checkup at the camp.
The follow-up treatment and artificial limbs will be given to the beneficiaries in Kakinada July 22.
Inaugurating the camp MLA Rowthu Suryaprakasha Rao said artificial limbs, machines for deaf and tricycles would be distributed by District In-charge Minister JC Diwakar Reddy and others on July 22. He said Arogya Sri scheme would be implemented for those physically challenge and who did not get opportunity to seek medical advice.
Municipal Commissioner C. Nagarajarao said that certificates issued at the camp will be beneficial to the physically challenged to get good opportunity in placements.
The camp was conducted for two-days, for which the District Medical and Health Department, Revenue, RTC, Railway and other departments helped a lot. Additional Commissioner N. Satyanarayana, Urban tahasildar K. Narasimha Murthy and others participated.
