Cautioning the officials on early completion of works taken up under the Indira Jalaprabha programme, district Collector Neetu Prasad on Thursday said that any delay in completion of the works by stipulated time would result in departmental action against the employees concerned.
Addressing a review meeting on Indira Jalaprabha programme here, Ms. Neetu Prasad said that the programme was aiming at providing direct benefit to more and more farmers and making the dry lands cultivable by way of drip and sprinkler irrigation.
She asked the officials of the DWAMA, electricity, groundwater department and the APMIP to focus on brining the programme closure to more and more farmers in the upland areas.
She said that stringent action would be initiated against the ground level employees and the monitoring authorities of all levels in the event of any laxity in attending to their duties.
Stating that the district was in 16th position in the State-level with regard to the implementation of the programme, the district Collector wanted the officials to work hard to take the district to the top position.
Giving two weeks of time to the officials to improve their efficiency, the district Collector said that a review meeting at the end of every fortnight would be conducted to review the progress of Indira Jalaprabha in the district.
