The TRS has demanded that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) make its stand clear on whether it supported the State government or would move no confidence motion in the Assembly.
The TRS leaders A. Chandulal, G. Vijayarama Rao and J. Jacharaiah alleged that he TDP had been supporting the Congress government in the state only to block the separate Telangana.
Scared of rout
The TDP also wanted to protect its own identity as an election would only rout the party both in Andhra and Telangana areas due to Jagan and separate Telangana factors.
The MLAs and MPs of Telangana region belonging to the TDP should introspect and leave Mr. Naidu. It is time that they came out of the TDP and joined the people in the ongoing separate Telangana movement.
They should not support Mr. Naidu anymore as his acts amply proved that he is against the separate Telangana state.
Mr. Vijayarama Rao pointed out that Mr. Naidu stated that they were not interested in bringing down the elected government.
The statement only indicated that the main Opposition TDP failed to own its responsibility. The TDP was openly supporting the State government which has fallen into minority.
The TDP was only aiming at blocking the separate Telangana, the TRS leaders said.
The TDP Telangana Forum leaders should now bring pressure on the party leadership to move no confidence motion against Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy's government or leave the party. They owed an answer to the people of Telangana.
The TRS leaders also demanded that the YSR Congress party should declare their stand on separate Telangana before going to people seeking votes. The MLAs who resigned in support of Mr Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy should stop taking mileage in the name of Telangana sentiment.
