GUNTUR: The members of Unaided College Teachers' Association along with Affiliated College Teachers' Association and GCTA boycotted the valuation of answer papers of all under-graduate examinations at the Government Women's College here on Saturday.

Association secretary K.S. Lakshmana Rao said that boycott for a day was observed at all the centres under Acharya Nagarjuna University area.

The main demands of the teachers was withdrawal of G.O.35 of March 27, rectifying the defects in rationalization, delay on implementation of D.A. merged scheme of UGC scale, withdrawal of ACT 5/2006, and regularization of all part-time lecturers.

The unaided college teachers also demanded admission of colleges or sections, that opened between March 1, 1985 and December 31, 1990, to a grant-in aid and implementation of all agreed demands by the Government.
