All the poems are written by 60 poetesses from Telangana
NIZAMABAD: Short story writer Mudiganti Sujatha Reddy has called upon Telangana poetesses to come forward and write modern poetry highlighting the problems and life of people.
Releasing the first anthology titled “Gayale Geyalai” of Telangana poetesses at a function here on Saturday, she expressed the pleasure over this feat of the poetesses. She said the Telangana poetesses were known for creativity and produced several progressive poems.
Famous writer Mangari Rajender known as ‘Jimbo' in Telugu literary circle, observed that Telangana women wrote poetry while taking part in agitations. Thus, their poetry reflects it.
Ms. Jwalitha introduced the book, which is a compilation of poems written by 60 poetesses.
Ms. Rajiva presided. Educationist Amruthalatha presented mementoes to the invitees.
