The Division Bench wanted the State government to make its stand clear about the writ petition filed seeking a direction for removal of Dharmana Prasada Rao as a Minister.

The writ petition was filed by O. M. Debara. He contended that in view of the fact that he was shown as an accused in illegal assets case of Mr. Jagan, he cannot continue as Minister. The petitioner pleaded that the Minister was shown as an accused in the charge-sheet too, after investigation.

He sought a declaration to the affect that the continuation of Mr. Dharmana as Minister , was illegal, contrary to public interest, unconscionable, contrary to principles of good governance, probity in public life. The Bench adjourned the case to June first week to enable the government place its stand.
