Nalgonda MLA and former Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Thursday called upon the Congress, Telugu Desam and YSR Congress parties to come out with a clear stand on the Telangana issue in the context of the all-party meeting called by the Centre on December 28.

Talking to presspersons here on the sidelines of the 56th death anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar organised by the district administration, he welcomed the all-party meeting.

He said it provides an opportunity to all the parties, including the Congress, to “merely state” that they were in favour of a separate state for the region.

District Collector N. Mukteswara Rao, Additional Joint Collector Neelakantam, DCC president T. Devender Reddy, CPI and CPI (M) district secretaries M. Adi Reddy and N. Narasimha Reddy, respectively, BJP president V. Chandrasekhar, representatives of various Dalit organisations and school students paid tributes to Ambedkar on the occasion.

The Congress, BJP and Telugu Desam parties also organised separate meetings in their respective offices.
