Rajahmundry: Municipal Commissioner V. Rajendraprasad has said the sanitation system being adopted in Singapore can be followed in Rajahmundry (MCR). Mr. Rajendraprasad, who took part in the World Cities Summit in Singapore recently, held a press conference here on Thursday.
He said the National Environment Agency of Singapore conducted the summit on June 26 in which 3,000 delegates from 62 countries, including seven from India, participated.
Singapore was according top priority to sanitation and three-dustbin system there had been yielding good result in keeping roads and houses clean.
The Commissioner said that the delegates observed that garbage collection and disposal in a systematic way with mechanised tools was worth emulating.
