Clay models attract visitors in droves

Students of various schools and colleges displayed about 150 clay models in the two-day Clay Crafts Expo at the Element School of Visual Arts on the M.G. Road in the city on Saturday.

Film director C. Umamaheswara Rao, Siddhartha Academy secretary P. Lakshmana Rao, Chintalapudi Government Degree College Principal Velaga Joshi inaugurated the exhibition on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, the film director said that animators are having great demand in the national and international markets. Animators from Andhra Pradesh created wonderful graphics for the movies which won Oscar Awards, he said. Mr. Lakshmana Rao said that the colourful clay models prepared by the students attracting the visitors. Students should sharpen their skills and emerge in selective fields, said Mr. Joshi. The exhibition will be kept open up to 7 p.m. on Sunday, and the entry is free. Interested students can participate in the exhibition, said the organisers. Photo journalist T.
