CLAT results announced

The results of Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) -2013 released on Friday spread cheer among the students from the State.

M. Venkatarama Mukunda secured 12{+t}{+h}rank in the examination with 149.25 marks, while K. Harshitha Reddy secured 30{+t}{+h}position with 143.25 marks and Janardhan Pashupati stood in 38{+t}{+h}rank with 142.5 marks.

Five students from the State secured positions in top 100 ranks in CLAT-2013.

1,200 students from city

A total of 2,000 students took CLAT examination in the State out of which about 1,200 students were from the city, Shankar Muralidharan, head operations, Career Launcher, said.

The awareness about the CLAT examination is increasing among the students in the State as reflected by the steady increase in the number of students appearing for it, he observed. About 30,000 students appeared for the examination across the country to compete for about 2,500 seats being offered by top 20 law universities. However, a student should secure a rank below 700 to get a seat in top 14 law institutions, he explained.
