Decrying the government’s decision to invoke Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) against the striking 108 ambulance staff, CITU activists staged a dharna in front of Kadapa Collectorate on Thursday.

CITU district general secretary A. Ramamohan condemned the arrest of 108 ambulance staff Penchalaiah in the early hours of Thursday when he took his sister to a private hospital for delivery and Bayyapu Reddy at Vempalle. Alleging that cases were being foisted on the striking 108 staff at the behest of the GVK management, he demanded to stop the unceremonious removal of staff.
