HYDERABAD: Confederation of Indian Industry will be organising the fourth edition of iTalent to identify computing talent among youth who are studying final year of Engineering in Computer Science, Information Technology, ECE, EEE, and M.Sc in Electronics, IT and MCA. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, steering committee member and Alcatel Development India’s human resources head David Nallathambi said that the first stage of inviting applications for participation would be completed by September 20. The evaluation and submission of detailed project reports would be completed by December 20 and the final round would take place in Chennai.

There would be different levels of evaluation in the final round. The iTalent would provide an opportunity for students belonging to suburban areas and not so popular colleges also to expose their talent in front of industry experts.

The contest covered numerous modules and the first, second and third prize winning teams would get cash awards of Rs. 75,000, Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 25,000. Each team could have two or three participants and the each college could sponsor at least four teams. Mr. Nallathabi said about 225 institutions were likely to participate.
