Over 50 varieties of Bibles on display

VIJAYAWADA: O.M. Books, one of the largest distributors of Christian literature, is organising a book fair for four days from Thursday, at the St. Paul’s Cathedral, near Nirmala Convent.

Over 50 different varieties of Bibles, 18 of them in Telugu language, are on display at the exhibition.

“We have Bibles that cost just Rs. 125 as well the highly expensive ‘Archaeological Study Bible’ priced at Rs. 2,520,” O.M. Books representative Praveen Kumar said.

The highlight of the exhibition was the ‘Truglo’ Bible, whose luminous flame printed on the cover glows in the dark, he said.

“The entire text of the Rainbow Study Bible is colour-coded, with all the utterances by God in one colour and the text on discipleship, love, faith, sin, satan, salvation in different colours for easy study,” Mr. Kumar explained.

With a message

O.M. Books Director (retail) Johnson George said besides the Bibles, a wide variety of books on Christian life, leadership, devotion, biography, motivation, biblical ethics, theology, evangelism, audio and video CDs and DVDs, T-Shirts and other gift articles with gospel messages on them were available at the exhibition.

A book on Clean Jokes was also available.

Discount offer

Over 400 titles brought out by O.M. Books and other noted publishers like Zonervan, Intevasity, Tydale, STL, Moody Press, Hodder and Stoughton were available.

Some books were available for discount of up to 50 per cent, Mr. George said.
