VIJAYAWADA: Praja Rajyam Party president K. Chiranjeevi will tour Krishna district on Saturday and Sunday as part of his Polavaram Sadhana Yatra to exert pressure on the Government to accord national project status to Polavaram project. PRP leaders in the district are busy making arrangements for their chief's visit in the places covered under the project.
Mr. Chiranjeevi will enter the district at Hanuman Junction from West Godavari at 3 p.m. on Saturday. He would offer pujas at the famous Hanuman temple before starting his yatra in the district. He would proceed to Gannavaram where he will address the people.
Mr. Chiranjeevi will also tour Agiripalli, Nuzvid, Vissannapet and A. Kondur before winding up his programme for the day at Tiruvuru, where he will stop for a night halt.
The next day, he will conduct meetings with the party leaders and fans. He will begin his yatra at 3 p.m., covering Gampalagudem, Mylavaram and G. Konduru before proceeding to Tenali in Guntur district for night halt.
GUNTUR: The Praja Rajyam Party chief's `Polavaram Bus Yatra' will enter the district on Sunday evening. Mr. Chiranjeevi would tour the district from May 16 to 19.
According to the schedule released by PRP district unit president L. Eswara Rao, Chiranjeevi will arrive by road to Tenali from Vijayawada on Sunday evening. On Monday morning, he will meet women and farmers' groups.
His bus yatra would commence in the evening in which he is expected to cover Tenali, Vemuru, Cherukupalli, Bhattiprolu and Bapatla. He will go to Chirala where he would take a break in the night.
After touring Prakasam district, Mr. Chiranjeevi would arrive in Chilakaluripet on May 18 night and leave for Pulichintala the next day. He will also visit Atchampet and Krosuru.
He will pass through Sattenapalli before culminating his tour with a meeting at Mangalagiri on May 19 night.
