VISAKHAPATNAM: China is offering opportunities to Indian students to join medical courses in the country.
Chinese medical colleges, most of them run by the provincial government, offer an international MBBS programme for four-and-a-half years with one-year internship.
The fee for the entire programme ranges between Rs.8 lakhs and Rs.12 lakhs, depending on the university selected, said the speakers at a seminar organised by Master Educational Academy here on Friday.
V. Uday Kumar, Andhra Pradesh representative of saraswationline.com, the authorised admission agents for major universities in China, said that students opting for medical education abroad should obtain the permission of the Medical Council of India (MCI).
Students who secure over 50 per cent marks in physics, chemistry and biology in Intermediate are eligible for admission into Chinese Medical Colleges.
