Four products, including two latest versions of refrigerators, launched

HYDERABAD: Whirlpool of India, a subsidiary of leading home appliances manufacturer Whirlpool Corporation, has launched four new products, including two new versions of refrigerators, a microwave and washing machine in south India, except Tamil Nadu.

In the refrigerator category, the company has introduced Delight and Fusion models with 6th sense, a new age technology, that has a special sensors to increase the amount of cold air circulated to ensure perfect cooling. Available in eight models in capacities of 230 ltrs, 260 ltrs and 280 ltrs, Delight range of refrigerators are priced between Rs. 11,500 to Rs. 19,500 while Fusion would be available in 200 to 310 ltrs capacity and priced between Rs. 10,700 to Rs. 16,000.

In the microwave segment, it has introduced JetChef with optimised control location for both user friendliness and space management. It comes with 31-ltr capacity with prices between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 18,000. WhiteMagic Splash, the new washing machine model, would have four wash programmes and comes at a price of Rs. 10,490.

Announcing the launch, Whirlpool of India managing director Arvind Uppal said the company was chalking out a major growth plan with an investment of US $ 20 million in next 12 to 18 months.
