TENALI (GUNTUR DT.): The last rites of Alla Raghavaiah, the well-known children's writer and activist who died here on Sunday at the age of 72 and struggled for the welfare of library workers, were conducted here on Monday.

Raghavaiah began his career as a librarian and graduated in library science. His love for children's literature made him try his hand at writing and he won many awards in various State and national level competitions. He also won prizes for his books on adult literacy.
