VUDA Children’s Club will organise Children’s Day celebrations from November 7. Children from various schools and dance and music institutions from Itchapuram to Rajahmundry will have an opportunity to display their talent in the celebration. Classical, folk, and western dances, group singing, ballets and fancy dress parades comprise the events.

Announcing the schedule, VUDA Vice-Chairman Kona Sasidhar said the celebrations would conclude on November 14. All the cultural competitions would be conducted at Gurajada Kalakshetram to facilitate viewing by the general public.

Children from private, government schools, dance and music institutions may participate in the competitions conducted as part of the celebrations. As many as 5,000 children were expected to take part in the weeklong competitions.

Participation is open to all children. Schools and institutions participating in the events of dance ballets, classical, folk, and western dance, group dance, interschool quiz, debate and group-singing must enrol names before November 5.
