The latent talent of schoolchildren came to the fore as city schools organised celebrations on their day coinciding with Chacha Nehru's birth anniversary here on Wednesday.
Tiny-tots came dressed like angels and staged cultural programmes highlighting the country's unity in diversity in the city schools including India Kids and the Bashyam Little Champs.
Bubbling with enthusiasm, students of the Bashyam public school gave a patriotic touch by enacting the scenes depicting the Jallianwalabagh massacre and from Alluri Sitaramaraju’s life history.
This was on occasion for kids helped by their parents and teachers to bring out creativity in them, said Bashyam Little Champs School Principal N.Susheela satisified with the performance of her school students.
Muncipal Commissioner S.Ravindra Babu distributed prizes to students of India kids who excelled in story-telling, colouring, singing, dancing etc.,
All the students were given opportunity to bring to the fore their hidden talents, said India Kids Principal V.Radha Reddy. Parents who had helped their wards on different themes enjoyed every moment of the celebrations, said its Correspondent K.Aravinda.
The participants were given prizes to encourage them to do better, they added.
