Minister for Major Industries J Geeta Reddy and Minister for Women and Child Welfare V. Sunitha Lakshma Redy opined that Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy should act impartially.

While condemning the attack on a police constable and a student by Seemandhra activists, they said the government should act tough against the attackers.

Ms. Geeta Reddy and Ms. Sunitha Lakshma Reddy visited Srinivas Goud, a constable of Akaram village in Dubbak mandal of Medak district, at Siddipet on Sunday, where he is being treated for injuries which he received in an attack.

Srinivas Goud received blows from Seemandhra activists after raising slogans in favour of Telangana at the LB Stadium meeting hall on Saturday.

Provocative statements

“It was not right for the leaders of Seemandhra issuing statements instigating the people of Telangana region. They should not forget that without our cooperation their meeting in Hyderabad would not have been a success. ,” they told reporters after visiting Srinivas Goud.

Earlier in the day, the villagers of Akaram along with TJAC leaders and TRS activists held a procession and honoured Srinivas Goud for raising slogans in the meeting of Samaikyandhra.
