Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu sharpened his attack on both Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana on the second day of his ‘Vastunna Meekosam’ padayatra in Medak district on Monday, which began at Indrakaran, the native village of Government Whip T. Jayaprakash Reddy.

“While Kiran Kumar Reddy is an arrogant person, Botcha Satyanarayana is a liquor don. Union Minister Kishore Chandradev wrote letter to the party high leadership mentioning these issues,” he said while addressing a gathering at Cheryal village in Sangareddy mandal.

On his way to the district headquarters in the evening, Mr. Naidu interacted with people and addressed several roadside meetings. At many places people pointed out at the drinking water problem. The TDP president said that Manjeera would be used to meet the drinking water requirements in the villages of the district.

“We use Manjeera water to meet the drinking water and irrigation requirements of the district. Another pipeline will be laid to bring Krishna water to the city,” he assured the gathering. He said that NTR Sujala would be implemented to supply drinking water to every house in the State.

The villagers of Indrakaran complained that they were suffering with lack of bus facility, drinking water, roads and sanitation.

DJ stopped

In an unexpected development, the police of Medak district asked the TDP not to use DJ sound system during ‘Vastunna Meekosam’ padayatra.

The DJ system was stopped from Kashipur village onwards. According to party sources, this irritated Mr. Naidu and he wanted to know why it was stopped in only Medak district while it was allowed at all other districts where he completed his tour. He is contemplating to take up this issue with higher officials.

Comparing to the first day, the turnout on the second day of the TDP chief's padayatra was somewhat less.
