TIRUPATI: A day after Tirupati witnessed unruly scenes in the aftermath of the arrest of the Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy ahead of his contentious ‘yatra', the situation in the temple city relatively calm on Saturday.

The former Chairman of the Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) and the former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Trust Board member Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, who was among those arrested in connection with the disturbances, was however released on Saturday on ‘station bail'.

Twenty five others, including several Tirupati City Congress functionaries who were rounded off in connection with the incidents, were on Saturday produced before the local Magistrate who remanded them to judicial custody.
