The Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers' Association has demanded regularisation of services of full-time, part-time, casual and contingent employees working in various government departments, public sector units and teaching profession.

At a press conference here on Saturday, Joint Action Committee chairman K. Eswara Rao and convener T. Gopalakrishna gave a call to all members of the association to get prepared to go to Hyderabad on November 23 to get their 10-point charter of demands fulfilled.

Among other demands of the association are filling vacancies in various government departments, as shortage of manpower had severely hampered work in the State. They wanted outsourcing of all works stopped and contractual appointments not made any more.

Expressing concern over the steep rise in prices of essential commodities, the association proposes to raise its voice on the need for controlling the price line. They wanted the contributory pension law be withdrawn and entire pension amount be borne by the government.
