5,000 people benefit from ISKCON Rajahmundry centre's guidance
Rajahmundry: The International Sri Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) temple, which is going to be inaugurated here on August 9, will be the second biggest spiritual centre in entire South India, after Bangalore. Sri Krishna Chaitanya Maha Prabhu, who was worshiped as the incarnation of Lord Krishna about 500 years ago, was the first saint to launch `Hare Rama Hare Krishna' sankeerthana movement.
"There is historical evidence that Krishna Chaitanya Maha Prabhu came to Rajahmundry during Godavari Pushkarams as a part of his world tour. I was told that he met one Ramananda Roy of Kovvuru on the other side of the river and described Pushkara Godavari as Yamuna and huge greenery around the town as Brindavan," said Satya Gopinatha Das, who is responsible for construction of the glorious temple here.
According to him, the temple is nothing but a teaching centre about Laws of Nature, which are not taught in our schools and colleges. The ISKCON golden temple in West Virginia in 400-acres of land is the most glorious temple in the world among the 108 temples. The The Rajahmundry temple is a huge structure with four floors.
The ISKCON-Rajahmundry is rendering spiritual service and bringing about behavioural change in people through its guidance and regulative principles.
