Congress MP Kavuri Sambhasiva Rao on Sunday stated that the Seemandhra leadership would abide by the decision of the UPA government on the Sri Krishna Committee report.

Addressing media persons, he expressed faith in the government in finding a solution amicable to all the regions. He hoped the Centre would not buckle under pressure from any region or from any regional force while acting on the report on the question of bifurcation of the State. On the verdict awarded by the Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal over the sharing of the Krishna water, Mr. Rao quoted Chief Minister N. Kumar Reddy as having been preparing ground for a review petition before the tribunal. He pitched for making a legislation in the Parliament in favour of nationalising the water resources so as to avoid inter-state water wars .
