Godavari lift scheme, Guthpa and Alisagar were earlier held up following CWC objection
NEW DELHI: The Centre has accorded clearances to three irrigation projects -- Godavari Lift Irrigation Scheme, Guthpa and Alisagar-- located in Telangana region and lift irrigation schemes.
The projects were held up after the Central Water Commission held that they were not comparable to the gravity projects while the Chief Minister Y.S. The move is bound to give a major fillip to `Jalayagnam' programme.
Four projects have been cleared by the Central Water Commission. The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) of the Union Water Resources Ministry, which met here on Friday, considered these four projects, a release by the State Information said.
