Sri Gowthami Smart School, Rajahmundry, celebrated the 63rd Republic Day on Thursday with a distinguished guest – a visually challenged author Viswanath Venkat Dasari, a second year student of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, Nuziveedu.

Sri Gowthami correspondent Ravi Kumar Sunkara in his welcome address said that the story of Viswanath was published in The Hindu on January 10. Inspired by the story, the school principal and staff decided to honour the young author who wrote a novel – ‘Pharaoh and the King' on the lines of Harry Potter.

He said that Mr. Viswanath should be an inspiration to all students and every one should appreciate his efforts and try to write something in their life.

Mr. Viswanath in his address to students said that students should have self-confidence, dedication, moral values, and ethics in every area of their working. This would help them reach their goal beyond doubt.
