In a first of its kind operation in the Telangana districts, the State Bank of India (SBI) inaugurated a cash deposit machine (CDM) at Sangareddy on Monday. One can deposit a maximum of Rs. 49,900 with about 200 notes at the CDM, a 24X7 facility.
According to Mr. Chandrasekhar, Chief Manager, SBI, Sangareddy, the machine can be operated by SBI ATM card-holders, Small and Medium Enterprise Insta Deposit cardholders and Green Remit card-holders.
However, the depositors are advised to keep the notes in Rs. 100, Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 denomination in series so that there would be no problem in counting the notes by the machine. The machine itself counts the notes and shows how much amount was deposited on the screen with denomination.
