The Cyberabad police on Sunday registered a case against former chairman of Rajendranagar market yard, Gyaneswar, for allegedly threatening authorities of an engineering college at Moinabad with a revolver.

Gyaneswar went to the college at Moinabad along with his associates to settle a dispute of his son with some senior students. After noticing that Gyaneswar was carrying a weapon, students staged a demonstration protesting against his high-handed behaviour with students and college authorities.

The management alerted the police who, in turn, rushed to the college and pacified the two groups. Police later booked cases against Gyaneswar and his son Abhilash along with four other students and further investigations are on.
