Cardiologists of Apollo and NIMS
will screen children of BPL families on
KADAPA: District Collector M.T. Krishna Babu on Friday called upon congenital heart patients under below seven years of age to enrol themselves in RIMS hospital here on July 21 and those aged between seven and 14 years on July 28.
Cardiologists of Apollo and Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences would screen children of families below the poverty line at the hospital on July 29 and would operate upon them free of charge at Hyderabad at a later date, he told officials at a meeting here.
Mr. Krishna Babu urged cleft lip patients, irrespective of age, polio-afflicted and persons physically challenged by birth to enrol themselves in the hospital before 9 a.m. on July 29.
Artificial limbs would be provided with LIC’s support to the needy, the Collector said. Those interested could contact DRDA office for further details.
RIMS principal Satyanarayana Murthy, Superintendent O. Bhanumathi Devi, Officer on Special Duty Saraswathamma, Executive Engineer Manohar Reddy, DMHO Sama Subbarayudu, District Panchayat Officer K. Sudhakar, Assistant Project Officer of DRDA Gurrappa and Municipal Commissioner S. Aleem Basha participated.
