Cancer specialist Ravi Mohan said about 4 lakh people died of cancer every year and 12 lakh people were being affected by the disease due to bad habits such as smoking, chewing of tobacco and improper dieting habits. He participated as a chief guest in the cancer awareness programme organised at the Government Degree College. Field Publicity Officer G.Kondala Rao, NCC 14th Andhra Commanding Officer N.Sasi, and college principal B.Polisu participated in the programme. Later, NCC cadets conducted a rally to create awareness among the public on cancer.
