Superintendent of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) R.Aravindkumar on Thursday said that consumption of tobacco would lead to cancer and other dreaded diseases within no time.

He attended as a chief guest for the function organised in the office of Citizens Forum on the eve of the No-Tobacco Day. Citizens Forum President Baratam Kameswara Rao said that the association would continue awareness camps to prevent youngsters and others from the bad habits.

Gutka ban

YSR Congress leader Yennu Dhanunjay said that gutka and other tobacco productions should also be banned in neighbouring States to prevent their circulation in Andhra Pradesh.

Citizens Forum members Chandrasekhara Rao, B.V. Reddibabu, B.V. Ramarao, B.Umamaheswara Rao, Jami Lakshmana Rao and others participated in the programme.
