There was a serious need of protecting government education system, CPI(M) State secretary B.V. Raghavulu on Thursday said. He attended as chief guest at a valedictory function of the State Education and Science seminar being conducted by the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) at local government girls’ high school in Rajahmundry on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Raghavulu observed that government educational system was destroyed due to liberalisation and the Central and the State governments were diluting government educational system in the name of new economic policy and encouraging corporate educational system.

He called upon the students’ community to motivate the people against misrule of the government
