The Samaikyandhra Joint Action Committees (JACs) and APNGOs’ Association have called for closure of all Central Government offices and establishments in the district on September 19 and 20 and 27 and 28 to make the seriousness of protests against bifurcation of the State felt in Delhi. They have also resolved to cut power for two hours from 6 p.m to 8 p.m on September 21 across the Seemandhra region for all sectors.

Besides, the JACs and APNGOs’ Association have appealed to all government and private educational institutions to shut down from Sept 23 to 30 lest the supporters of unified State should enforce closure. A district bandh call has been given for Sept 24. Movement of all private vehicles from auto-rickshaws to buses has been decided to be suspended on Sept 25 and 26. The protagonists of unified State are demanding that the Central and State Ministers and MLCs and MLAs of the ruling party should tender their resignations immediately, with the hope that by doing so they would force the Congress high command to step back keeping the larger public interest in view.

The RTC employees’ unions have decided to keep the buses off the roads as long as the decision to carve Telangana is not withdrawn.
