HYDERABAD: A butcher was allegedly stabbed to death allegedly by his rivals at his house at Sardar Nagar in Kukatpally on Saturday night.
According to the police, offenders first jumped the main gate, sprinkled chilli powder at the victim, Shaik Mahmood, 30, and attacked him with swords. Mahmood who suffered severe bleeding injuries was rushed to a nearby private hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Kukatpally Inspector P. Radha Kishan Rao said four members led by one Wahed of Tolichowki committed the offence.
"We suspect some grudge between Mahmood and his rival Wahed may be one of the reasons behind the killing," the Inspector said.The police registered a murder case.
They handed over Mahmood's body to his family after conducting an autopsy at Gandhi Hospital mortuary.
Special teams have been formed to nab the culprits.
