VIJAYAWADA: The hard times builders of apartment and commercial complexes are facing many soon come to an end, says The Builders’ Association, Vijayawada, here on Wednesday.
Association president Gadde Rajling addressing a press conference said there had been a sudden increase in the sale of apartments. He said changes in the political scenario had prompted customers to show interest in the purchase of apartments and commercial space.
The number of customers making enquiries about new apartment had gone up tremendously. Several of the enquiries had fructified into purchase agreements between the builders and customers, he said.
In the 18-month lean period the Municipal Corporation has approved only 25 plans.
These plans were for all constructions, not just apartments, he said.
He said in the changed political scenario Vijayawada City which was ‘centrally and strategically located’ had the potential of emerging as a hub for educational and health care institutions.
This would boost the construction activity here he said.
He said some buyers were making bulk books in apartments located on the outskirts of the city.
This phenomenon was new to the city.General secretary S.Vishnu spoke.
