Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy categorically stated that emphasis will be laid on agriculture in the budget.

Talking to mediapersons on Thursday, Mr. Reddy said that modalities were being worked out for an excellent presentation of the budget for the ensuing financial year with due importance and allocations to the agricultural sector and allied agrarian segments. Efficacy will also be attached to the issues correlating to the farming communities and agricultural labourers.

Dwelling further he said that the State government initially would present a vote on account budget during the early budget sessions followed by a full–fledged budget thereafter in the month of the May.

Earlier the Minister offered prayers at the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara accompanied by his family members during the VIP break darshan and also participated in the Kalyanotsavam inside the temple.
