NELLORE: Former minister and TDP district president Somireddy Chandramohan demanded the government to order a probe into causes that drove Yemmiganur CI (former ACB inspector) M.Jayachandra Raju to submit his resignation.

He alleged that the torture made by former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Nedurumalli Janardhan Reddy and other ruling party leaders in Krishnapatnam Multi-Purpose SEZ scam, forced Mr. Raju to resign for the job. Speaking to the newsmen here on Saturday Mr.Chandramohan Reddy said, Jayachandra Raju who is a sincere officer in Police Department, has served in Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Nellore district. . During his tenure in ACB, he unearthed the Krishpatnam Multi-Purpose Special Economic Zone (Krishnaptanam SEZ) in which some crores of rupees were misused in land acquisition.

Mr.Janardhan Reddy and other leaders who developed grudge against the inspector were harassing him, which forced him to resign for the job. Vexed with the harassment the inspector started ‘pada yatra' from Kurnool to Nellore district, said Mr.Chandramohan Reddy.

Mr.Chandramohan Reddy demanded the government to bring the political leaders too under the jurisdiction of the ACB and unearth the properties earned by them.
