Brahmotsavam schedule released by TTD

TTD Executive Officer L.V. Subrahmanyam on Wednesday formally unveiled the posters ahead of the annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram and Sri Kapileswaraswami temple in the city.

While the Brahmotsavams begin with the hoisting of the traditional flag on March 1 at Srinivasa Mangapuram, important events include Simha Vahanam (Mar 3), Kalpa Vriksha Vahanam (Mar 4), Mohini Avataram and Garuda Vahanam (Mar 5), Rathotsavam (Mar 8) and Chakra Snanam (Mar 9).

Apart from pasting posters and distributing publicity graffiti, the TTD authorities have pressed into service ‘Prachara Ratham’ to publicise the event in 200 villages in the vicinity.

At Sri Kapileswara temple, the major events are Dhwajarohanam (Mar 3), Bhootha Vahanam (Mar 5), Adhikara Nandi Vahanam (Mar 7), Rathotsavam (Mar 10) and Trisula Snanam (Mar 12).

Deputy Executive Officer (local temples) C. Reddemma, Asst. EO Lakshman Naik and Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishat Special Officer S. Raghunath took part.
