HYDERABAD: Eight-year-old Vasireddi Sai Vinay suffering from leukaemia and hailing from a poor family received good news on Tuesday morning.
Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy who was moved by a news report about the plight of Vinay, a third standard student of Satyavani School, issued instructions to make immediate arrangements for the boy's treatment.
The young one had earlier on May 25 this year received Rs. 25,000 from Chief Minister's Relief fund to take care of treatment costs. However, looking at the boy's condition over the weeks, his mother had stopped taking food.
It is beyond the means of boy's father Ramakrishna working as a driver in a chemical factory at Jeedimetla to get necessary treatment for his son.
A newspaper that portrayed the woes of the little one's family as on date drew the attention of the Chief Minister who invited the boy and his parents on Tuesday morning to his Camp Office. He assured that the Government would bear the entire expenditure of the treatment.
