KURNOOL: President of Rayalaseema Ikya Vedika and legislator T.G. Venkatesh has asked the police to frame criminal charges against TRS leader Kavitha for instigating people against screening of Telugu movie “Adurs”.

Mr. Venkatesh accused Ms. Kavitha of instigating youth to create trouble at the theatres where the movie was being screened. He said the police and the State government should demonstrate the same enthusiasm displayed while taking action against the media in the Reliance attack case and book the movie protesters too.

Mr. Venkatesh said the Ikya Vedika would move the Supreme Court to strike down the Article 3 of the Constitution which was “moved against the spirit of the Constitution”. The amendment which ignored the wish of the State Assembly in case of division of the State was passed with simple majority and not absolute majority.

He said the Ikya Vedika will hold a meeting with students from Rayalaseema on January 20 enlisting their support for the cause of the Rayalaseema region.
