HYDERABAD: Requesting the public to cooperate fully with the Police Department, ruling party legislator from Sanathnagar, M. Shashidhar Reddy said, thorough arrangements would be made for the upcoming ‘Ashada Jatara Bonalu festival’ scheduled to be held on July 12 followed by ‘Rangam’ the next day.

Addressing a review meeting with officials from various departments, temple authorities and volunteers held on Friday, Mr. Reddy asked the officials concerned to take up works on repairing roads and street lights immediately.

GHMC authorities have assured to take up fogging, cleaning of storm water drains and better sanitation in the area. The Water Board officials promised to provide a 24-hour uninterrupted supply of water during the Jatara. The volunteers requested the authorities to provide water sachets to the devotees standing in the queue at the temple.

Power supply

To ensure uninterrupted power supply, the temple area would be serviced by three different sub-stations apart from mobile transformers, said Transco officials. Taking cue from last year’s arrangements, the Minister asked the health and sanitation wing of GHMC to provide separate mobile toilets for the women. He also demanded to repair all the 12 public toilets in the area. APSRTC will be running 40 additional buses .
