HYDERABAD: The burnt body of an unidentified man aged 25 years, suspected to have been strangled to death, was found in a dustbin behind Bus Bhavan at Chikkadpally on Monday.
The victim was clad in an unzipped pair of jeans and was without a shirt. Wrapped in a bed linen, the body was stuffed in a gunny bag. Municipal workers noticed the torched gunny bag in the litterbin in the morning.
They alerted the Chikkadpally police after finding the burnt body inside the bag. "He was killed somewhere and the body dumped here. They poured petrol on the face and torched the body to make identification difficult," Chikkadpally police station Inspector V.N.V. Satyanarayana said.
The name `Raj' was engraved on a metal ring he wore. Another metal pendant with some Tamil letters was found hanging to his neck.
