Founder-president of C.P. Brown Memorial Library Janumaddi Hanumath Sastry released posters of ‘Rakthadana Chaitanya Yatra’ (blood donation campaign) brought out by Blood2live founder, P. Pavan Kumar on Thursday.
Dr. Hanumath Sastry lauded Mr. Pavan Kumar for taking up the blood donation campaign with the catchy slogan ‘give up bloodshed, donate blood’.
Dr. Hanumath Sastry stressed the need for creating greater awareness on blood donation in Kadapa district and added that the government should extend its support towards the noble cause.
Mr. Pavan Kumar said his organisation aimed at enrolling one lakh blood donors in Kadapa.
He lamented that several people were unaware of their own blood group, leave alone blood donation. He called upon people to enrol their names on the website www.blood2live.org and get blood grouping done so that they could donate blood to needy persons.
Blood2live members Srikanth Mathur, Somasekhar, Saibaba, Kishore and Prasad participated.
