VISAKHAPATNAM: All-India general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party Ramlal exuded confidence that his would come to power at the Centre in the coming elections. Mr. Ramlal was addressing party workers’ meet here on Tuesday.
He pointed out that the party heads the government in seven States and had been successful in forging alliances with the ruling parties in five other States. The recent Assembly elections held in a couple of States also indicate a favourable trend towards the party. Talking of the spurt in terrorist activities across the country, he said senior leaders of the party like L.K. Advani, Narendra Modi and Ashok Singhal are facing threats from terrorists and naxalites. He said that the party had been successful in maintaining communal harmony in all BJP-ruled States and in the States of Meghalaya and Nagaland where BJP has an alliance with ruling parties Party leaders P.V. Narayana, K. Haribabu, P.V. Chalapathi Rao, Ranga Mohan and others were present.
