State BJP president G. Kishan Reddy said that his party would support a no-confidence motion if moved by any party against the State government in the Assembly.

He said the BJP would support the motion as people want this government to go.

Blaming the government’s inefficiency for the present power crisis, he demanded a white paper on the shortage and its action plan to overcome the deficit.

He said rural areas were not even getting 4-5 hour supply and many industries were faced closure, rendering workers jobless.

Mr. Reddy criticised Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy of remaining busy with selection of party nominees for Council elections in Delhi instead of seeking Centre’s help in resolving the crises on power, drought and railway projects.

In spite of declaring 820 mandals as drought-hit, he said the government failed to take measures to mitigate the situation.

He said that BJP activists would hold protest rallies in 1,000 places in the State on March 12 to highlight power crisis.
